I am a preacher so I spend a lot of time speaking from "inside" the pulpit. This blog reflects thoughts I have beyond the pulpit, "outside" the pulpit.
This blog represents my own thoughts on religion, spirituality, The Bible, family, leadership, church growth, and some random other stuff.
This blog also shares the struggles and joys of my journey as a Christian, husband, father, and Seventh-day Adventist Minister.
I live in the Central Valley of California, I pastor a growing church and am part of team planting a new church.
My most worthy life achievements are being married to my amazing wife, Christina, and the father to three boys, Dayton, Landon, & Levi!
My hobby is running.
I look forward to the return of Jesus, but 'till then I want to live faithful to the Great Commission to Go, to Make Disciples, to Baptize, and to Teach Obedience to God.

I really enjoyed that ingterview. The comfortable interaction between the two was 1st class. Piper’s frankness was compelling, almost scary in its transparency. Isn’t it easier to veil, spin and polish so as to remain enviable and superior? He did not go for easy – how refreshing!
E.P., I am blessed by Piper’s candid approach in many areas! That he was so candid in the most intimate of relationships, his marriage, is what really touched my heart
